How can blogging and other forms of asynchronous writing/ collaboration be seen as patch-writing? How is patch-writing different from plagiarism?

Blogging and other forms of asynchronous writing can be seen as patch-writing because patch-writing is a method of composing in which writers take the words of other authors and patch them together with few changes. Blogging is very similar because it's your thoughts written out in a simple form but your thoughts can be influenced by other people and things hence why it can be seen as patch-writing. Patch-writing is different from plagiarism because plagiarism is usually more than just a few ides taken and often used to take it as your own credit.
